About the Community Health Reform Advocacy Committee

(Updated 11/2010)

Health Care Reform

Affirming the County’s and the community’s commitment to ensuring access to quality, affordable healthcare for all residents, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors formed the Community Health Reform Advocacy Committee (CHRAC) in April 2010 to guide the County’s implementation of the Affordable Care Act. CHRAC is the successor to the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Adult Health Coverage Expansion, which sought to expand health coverage to uninsured adult residents of San Mateo County.

Through public outreach and advocacy, the Committee is working to ensure health care reform optimally benefits all San Mateo County residents. It is also actively exploring funding opportunities to strengthen the county’s health care resources and expand health coverage to the uninsured.
