Census Workers Visit San Mateo County Households
On Saturday, May 1st, Census Workers began a door-to-door effort to count all households that did not mail back their 2010 Census Survey before April 16, 2010. Please help out your community by answering the questions of a Census Worker. It will only take 10 minutes.
For every person counted, your community gains $1,600 per person per year! This funding is used for public education, language services, roads, emergency services, disaster preparedness, and health services.
Stand up and be counted in 2010!

Welcome
Since 1790, the Census Bureau has counted every resident of the United States. Every ten years, questionnaires are mailed to every household to count all who reside here, regardless of age, races, ethnicity, or citizenship. It is critical that the County of San Mateo have as accurate count as possible, as Census numbers are used to determine Congressional representation and funding for important projects in our local community.
