On May 24th, 2012, Adrienne was honored as the Women's Transportation Seminar's Woman of the Year for her leadership in the transportation industry as well as for her spirited leadership style and her consensus-building approach to tackling regional problems. During December 2010, Sup. Adrienne J. Tissier and Sheriff Greg Munks coordinated the first-ever San Mateo County Stuff-the-Bus event to literally fill a sheriffs bus with toys meant for low-income children. The bus parked for eight hours on Saturday, December 11, at Daly City's Serramonte Shopping Center and then on the following Tuesday, December 14, visited county campuses San Mateo, Redwood City and Belmont. In total, the Stuff the Bus event generated more than 2,000 toys (including 12 bicycles), plus approximately $900 in cash for the county's Children's Fund.   Click here to view larger photo

During Jensen's 22 years as Serra's head varsity baseball coach, the Padres amassed more than 550 wins, plus 13 West Catholic Athletic League titles, three Central Coast section titles and two California state championships. To help older drivers stay on the road for as long as possible and as safely as possible, Sup. Adrienne J. Tissier is working with the California Highway Patrol to expand the Older Driver Traffic safety Seminar program throughout the Peninsula. The photo shows the first class held in August 2005 in Daly City, followed by Half Moon Bay, San Bruno, Millbrae, Foster City, San Mateo and Burlingame. During the December 13 meeting of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, Supervisor Adrienne J. Tissier (left) presented Ken White (center), president of the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA, and Nov Omana (right), PHS/SPCA board chairman, with an honorary resolution recognizing PHS/SPCA for its response to Gulf Coast animals affected by Hurricane Katrina. Through its unilateral efforts, PHS/SPCA delivered much-needed supplies, plus more than $20,000 in cash, to affected areas, and by September had accepted 64 flood-displaced animals. Approximately 40 to 45 Katrina-pets remain at PHS/SPCA, hoping for suitable new families.
