Greetings and welcome to San Mateo County’s Department of Child Support Services website. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and their families by helping parents meet the financial and emotional needs of their children by establishing and enforcing child support orders in an effective, efficient, and professional manner. But we cannot accomplish our mission alone. We need your help. That is why we have developed this special area of our website, to help you understand the child support process so that you can help us with your case.
Please take some time to review the information provided. If you have any questions about either your case or the child support process, please contact our office. You can send us email through our website or call our Customer Service Center toll free at (866) 901-3212 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. You are also welcome to visit our office in Redwood City. Our caseworkers meet with visitors during office hours, which are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. If you come into the office, we will try to see you right away, but we guarantee that your wait will be no longer than 20 minutes.
