Cash Assistance For Families With Kids (CalWORKs)
The CalWORKs program helps families achieve self-sufficiency through employment services and temporary cash assistance.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS)
The VRS program provides counseling and vocational training for San Mateo County residents with employment barriers and disabilities.

Assistance With Food Costs (Food Stamps)
The Food Stamp program provides electronic benefits, which can be used to buy food at most grocery stores, for eligible low-income households.

San Mateo County Re-Employment and Community Resources

General Assistance For Adults (GA)
The GA program provides short-term financial assistance for eligible low-income adults without children of San Mateo County who are unemployed or determined unable to work.

Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI)
CAPI provides financial assistance for legal non-citizens who are age 65+ or are blind or disabled.

Employment & Financial Assistance Forms
Forms that you can download onto your computer, fill them out at home, and take with you or mail to your local Human Services Agency (HSA) office. These forms are to report any changes in your case management status. You must visit the HSA office in order to begin the application process for any programs.
