Unemployment Information (UI)
To obtain claim forms log onto www.edd.ca.gov then click on "application"; or, go to PeninsulaWorks, your one-stop job connection, offices listed below.
UI Partial Benefits Some UI clients may receive benefits while attending training. An additional UI benefit of up to 26 weeks may be available while you are in training. Inquire through the 1-800-300-5616 number (M-F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or inquire when you call or visit a PeninsulaWorks office.

Health Care Services - Free and Reduced Cost Options Healthy Families Program - A low cost health care program for children with family incomes above the level eligible for no cost Medi-Cal and below 250 percent of the federal income guidelines ($34,704 for a family of three). Health Families Program provides health, dental and vision coverage for eligible families. Information Line: 1-888-747-1222 or apply: County of San Mateo Human Services Agency. County Health Department Clinics are also available on a sliding-fee scale and are located throughout the county. Dial 650-573-3434 to find the nearest clinic nearest you. Medical - A comprehensive health insurance to families and individuals with low incomes. Medical provides health, dental and vision coverage for eligible families. Go to any County of San Mateo Human Services Agency offices listed below to get more information or an application. Public Assistance – County of San Mateo Human Services AgencyThe County of San Mateo County Human Services Agency provides services including employment readiness workshops and job search for the general public. Other services provided: temporary cash assistance (CalWORKs), Medical, Food Stamps, housing assistance, alcohol and other drug services for eligible families.
