Welcome to the San Mateo Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) web site. San Mateo LAFCo is an independent commission with jurisdiction over the boundaries of the 20 cities, 22 independent special districts and many of the 35 County-governed special districts serving San Mateo County.The Commission meets on the third Wednesday of the odd-numbered months (January, March, etc.) at 2:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers in Redwood City. Extra meetings may be scheduled as needed.

2012-04-25 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Mateo Local Agency Formation Commission will hold a public hearing on May 16, 2012 at a meeting scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, 400 County Center, Redwood City, to consider the following items:
- Consideration of Adoption of LAFCo Adopted Budget for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 pursuant to Gov. Code Section 56381 [PDF]
- Consideration of Municipal Service Review and Sphere of Influence Update for the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District [PDF]
