Q. Does a reservation fee include vehicle entry fees?
A. No. Please see our Fees and Charges page for additional vehicle entry fees.

Q. Are pets allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks?
A. Pets other than service animals are not allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks. Find a park for you and your dog.

Q. Is hard liquor allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks?
A. Hard liquor is not allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks, however beer and wine are allowed.

Q. Is smoking allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks?
A. Smoking is not allowed at any of the San Mateo County parks, trails, or buildings. Learn more.

Q. Is metal detecting allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks?
A. No. Park geological features are under protection and park users are prohibited from digging or otherwise disturbing the earth of county parks or trails.

Q. Is amplified music allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks?
A. No, amplified music is not allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks however, acoustic bands or small portable radios/cd players are allowed.

Q. How far in advance can reservations be made?
A. Reservations can be made up to 364 days in advance. The date must have already passed this year before it can be booked for the next year.

Q. What is the cost of making a reservation?
A. The cost of making a reservation depends on the area that is being reserved and the number of people. See our Reservations page or call our administrative office for exact prices.

Q. Are jumpers allowed at any of the San Mateo County Parks?
A. Yes, jumpers are allowed at Coyote Point Park, Flood Park, Junipero Serra Park, San Pedro Valley Park, and Quarry Park only. In addition to renting a jumper from a private supplier, there are park fees for using a jumper, which can be found on our Fees and Charges page, and paperwork that must be submitted to our office prior to your event.

Q. Is there Sudden Oak Death in County Parks?
A. Yes, and during wet weather hikers may unwittingly spread the spore that causes the disease (Phytophthora ramorum). Educate yourself.
