9 am – Noon

Help maintain the beautiful trails and restore habitats in the Park. Volunteers meet at the Visitor Center near the parking lot. Hats, sunscreen and water bottles are recommended. Gloves and tools will be provided. For more information, call contact Ranger Matt Auda-Capel at  (650) 355-8289.

Nature Journal Workshop with John Muir Laws at Edgewood Park
2nd Tuesday of each month, 3:30 - 5 pm. Nature Journaling makes you a better observer, naturalist, and artist. Learn how to keep your own nature journal through monthly workshops. Each workshop highlights new aspects of journal keeping including drawing flowers, making quick landscape studies, sketching birds, noticing important scientific details, or nature poetry. No experience necessary. Register at the Friends of Edgewood site.
San Bruno Mountain Hikes in April
Every Saturday and Sunday this April, volunteers with San Bruno Mountain Watch will lead hikes offering opportunities to appreciate the unique biological features of the mountain. Learn more.
Wildflower Walks at Edgewood Park
Celebrate spring with free docent-led tours of the spectacular wildflower displays  at Edgewood Park. Learn more.
Bicycle Sunday
Every Sunday Cañada Road is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities including jogging, bicycling, hiking, roller-skating, and walking. Learn more.

Join the Edgewood Weed Warriors
Weed Warriors are combating invasive plants that threaten Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve. Volunteers meet every Wednesday evening and Friday mornings. Join the San Mateo County Park Trail Patrol
Trail Patrol volunteers assist Park rangers by hiking in County Parks to note safety issues along the trails. These volunteers also serve as park ambassadors by answering visitor questions, providing trail recommendations and hiking directions. Volunteer hours are flexible. This is a wonderful opportunity to hike the trails you love while helping San Mateo County Park rangers. Prospective volunteers are required to complete an application, an interview and training hikes. For more information, contact Carla Schoof at cschoof@smcgov.org.
