San Bruno Mountain Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) was formed to provide assistance in the reporting of research, monitoring and habitat enhancement, and to report on the Plan’s scientific effectiveness and costs. The committee is currently chaired by the Director of San Mateo County Parks and participants include staff from the County (Plan Operator and Habitat Manager), weed control and restoration sub-contractors, and representatives of volunteer groups that are active on the Mountain (i.e. California Native Plant Society (CNPS), Heart of the Mountain, Friends of San Bruno Mountain and San Bruno Mountain Watch). The TAC meets quarterly to review and recommend to the HCP Trustees annual and long-term management plans, review contractors proposed scopes of work, and initiate research to meet HCP goals.

Midcoast Park and Recreation Committee
The Midcoast Action Committee was formed to work with the county on approved and funded projects that benefit and support the unincorporated Midcoast. These projects are initiated by one or more county departments or at the request of Midcoast citizens. Citizen volunteers and San Mateo County Parks staff collaborate to thoughtfully plan, create, acquire and maintain community parks, a comprehensive trail system and active recreation facilities and services for the Midcoast.
