– Independent contractor designations
– Minimum wage violations
– Overtime compensation violations

• Anticipated initial target industries:

– Hospitality & Leisure
– Retail
– Wholesale
– Health
– Education

• Any employer subject to Federal jurisdiction could
be scrutinized

• The Department of Labor has increased its inspector
staff from approximately 700 to more than 1000 for
its enforcement efforts.
