CPAAC Conference Meeting
Minutes – Fall 2015
Wednesday, September 16, 2015
2:00 p.m. Call to Order
Welcoming Comments
CPAAC President Tami Douglas-Schatz called the meeting to order and welcomed the
conference attendees. She also noted the significant number of participants at the
pre-conference credentialed CSAC Institute Class on Facilitation Practices: The Basics
of Bring People Together, facilitated by Bill Chiat, Dean and Manager of the CSAC
Institute.
Approval of the Agenda
The agenda for the Fall 2015 conference was approved by the group.
Review of March 2015 Meeting Minutes and Treasure’s Report
The minutes of the March 2015 meeting were reviewed. Further, the Treasure’s Report
was given by Michael McDougall and covered the period of February 26, 2015 through
September 2, 2015. The ending balance on the CPAAC account as of September2,
2015 was $57,343.00. This reflects the CHASE account balance forward of $44,275.92,
plus the net credits of $12,968.07 for activity period.
Nominating Committee Actions
President Douglas-Schatz and Immediate Past President Brian Ring led the discussion
concerning the nomination of officers for calendar years 2015 and 2016. Specifically, in
2015, the office of the Vice President was vacated by Suzanne Mason and required an
immediate replacement. The nomination to immediately rotate existing officers and
replace the vacant Vice President position was discussed. Brian Ring reported and
moved that Michael Stock be promoted from Secretary to Vice President and that Lisa
Garrett be elected as Secretary. The Treasurer Michael McDougall would remain in
place.
Nominations Continued
As to the nomination of the 2016 Board, the Nominating Committee discussed the
following nominations and rotations:
President: Michael Stock, Riverside County
Vice President: Lisa Garrett, Los Angeles County
Treasurer: Michael McDougall, Santa Cruz County
Secretary: Marc Fox, Solano County
